Adopt A Class (AAC) recognized the Butler Foundation as “Funder of the Year”at its annual Celebration Breakfast on June 4

Nearly 600 educators and business leaders attended the event honoring community partners who support AAC’s mission. Adopt A Class is a non-profit that pairs teams of business mentors with classrooms in urban schools, to help students explore career paths they might not otherwise be exposed to. In response to a $100,000 challenge grant from the Butler Foundation, AAC raised $400,000 to expand its mentoring programs in Northern Kentucky public schools. This year local business teams ‘adopted’ classrooms in Newport, Covington, Ludlow, and Bellevue Independent School districts, as well as Boone County Schools.
